Okay so I have to admit I am not a big fan of nonfiction books. My boys absolutely love them though. They love the books about animals, especially one such as lions and sharks. I have found a website http://www.childrensbookguild.org/ that has recognized a nonfiction author
Sy Montgomery as the 2010 Children's Book Guild Nonfiction Award winner.
She is a very interesting adventurer who has contributed significantly to children's literature. Her latest collaboration is Saving the Ghost of the Mountain: An Expedition Among Snow Leopards in Mongolia. She always uses children in her stories to show children that they can grow up and do this type of work with animals as well.
